Over the past few years I have photographed hundreds of my original multi-colored Hair Colors and created multi-color Swatch Pictures. All of the Hair Color images you will see within these pages are actual photos of hair coloring work I have personally created. USING HAIR COLOR PICTURES...
I highly recommend that every Hair Color Client who wants a new hair color find a picture of their desired hair color and take it to her Hair Stylist / Hair Colorist during the initial hair color consultation.
Typically, new Hair Color Clients bring pictures of hair colors taken from Hair Style, Hair Color and Fashion Magazines to the Hair Salon and these can be very useful. However, there are several very important elements missing when only a picture is referenced when discussing a new hair color.
PRECISE HAIR COLOR DESCRIPTIONS...
First, the Hair Color Client must understand that how two people see the same color may be very different. The Client may call the "butter blonde" that is in the picture "gold", and the Stylist / Colorist may use too gold of a hair color. Therefore, the color descriptions must be fully understood by both the Hair Color Client and the Hair Stylist / Colorist. BOTH must be seeing the exact same color(s) before the hair color can be achieved.
UNDERSTANDING HAIR COLOR PLACEMENT...
After the Hair Colors are described, understood and agreed upon by both the Hair Color Client and the Hair Stylist / Colorist the next thing to decide upon is how those colors are going to be placed! If the end result is extremely natural, then make certain that this is understood by the Hair Stylist / Colorist who is going to be doing the hair color application. If the look of the new hair color is more "petal-like", this would call for larger strands of hair colors so that the colors would be more visible in the end result, so the placement has to be taken into account.
The placement of hair colors refers to HOW the color will LOOK when the hair color is completed. How the new hair color LOOKS on styled hair depends on HOW the Hair Color is placed onto the head of hair.
Placement, these days, is most commonly done with hair color FOILING TECHNIQUES. To achieve gorgeous multi-colored hair colors, it is very important that the placement of the hair color foils be done correctly to achieve the exact LOOK of the desired end result.
